It is colorful, very dynamic, made by Jean Gobaille (1895-1969) Breton painter. She is well made. The frame is gold leaf, it has its protective glass. Jean Gobaille was born in 1895 in Rennes. His work is essentially regional. Jean Gobaille paints his city of Rennes: the Lices market, the Railler du Baty square, the Saint-Sauveur basilica or the quays at night. It also illustrates the ports and beaches of Brittany such as Le Pouliguen, Le Croisic or Saint-Briac. The first state purchase dates back to 1923. The work is natural, it has not been restored, the paper is wavy, we report stains, freckles in the margin. Note rubbing, scratches and gaps on the frame.
