WATERCOLOR ON PAPER BY LOUIS AIME JAPY PAYSAGE ROCHER FORET XXEME A4147 This watercolor is beautifully crafted it is early twentieth, it was made by Louis Aimé Japy. Born in 1840 / Died in 1916. Painter of landscapes, landscapes of water. Student of Camille Corot and Louis Français, Louis Aimé JAPY exhibited at the Salon from 1864, fine and delicate landscapes, touched by a light in the both transparent and subtle. A trip to the beginning of his career in Italy will inspire Louis Aimé JAPY to several subjects of paintings including paintings of the Roman countryside. Member of French Artists in 1883, medal in 1870, second class in 1873, silver medal in 1889 and in 1900 on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition, Louis Aimé JAPY translates with great sensitivity the nature of the island of France, Finistère, Picardy and Franche-Comté. We point out a poorly executed cut to glue it on its support, friction and wear on the watercolor, however it remains in a suitable state. It is sold in its natural juice. Sold uncleaned unprepared. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Do not hesitate to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description.
