WATERCOLOR ON PAPER BY ALBERT JAFFRE THE PORT OF NANTES XXEME L1729This is a 20th century work by Albert Jaffré entitled "The Port of Nantes seen from Trentemoult". It is of good quality. It bears a signature plus a small dedication on the back. Albert Jaffré, a self-taught regionalist painter from Nantes, devoted himself to painting and especially to watercolors for almost 50 years. He received throughout his artistic career numerous gold medals and first prizes, Saumur, Sainte Luce, Nantes, Vertou, Les Sorinières, Saint-Nazaire, Cholet, Clisson, Guérande. He participates in numerous fairs in the great West, in Paris, in Saarbrücken and at the Biennale de Nantes. The work is hangable, we report some slight friction, small dots in the margin, micro-scratches and friction on the frame strips. You will notice that its protective tile is in place.
