WATERCOLOR DRAWING BOAT BY FRANC XXEME PORT PECHE A4469 This is a watercolor made by Franc in 1967. It is treated in the manner of Bernard Buffet. It represents a fishing boat. François Franc (1926-1989), although he worked in the 1950s with Fernand LEGER, François FRANC knew how to create a well personalized pictorial writing while respecting nature and reality, magnified with a very contemporary elegance. His signature in high assured jambs represents well the brilliance of his style where the structure of the drawing is essential to offer deep life to nature, to all these landscapes, these cities, these campaigns, these banks and shores of which he literally dissected the picturesque to restore its soul, according to the seasons, light, fine colours, with which he incised the flesh in order to reveal the deep energy of motifs transfigured with so much harmony. Note rubbing and small black dots on the paint, foxing and rubbing in the margin, however the work remains in fair overall condition. We left the protective glass in place, which explains the reflections in some photos. Note on the frame friction and wear of gilding. Sold unrestored, untouched. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. The photos are an integral part of the description.
