WATERCOLOR ON PAPER QUAI DE SEINE ALFRED BERGIER 1955 PASTEL M33 This watercolor on paper was done I think by Alfred Bergier, the signature is difficult to identify, so I can not confirm it. For the material probably a mixed technique watercolor gouache, pastel. It represents a man sitting on a quay, probably the Seine, a woman is also present and we see people in the distance who are walking. The glass is missing, the watercolor has been fixed in its frame. The work is sold unrestored not fixed.For the state thank you for detailing the photos.Alfred BergierBirth June 23, 1881AvignonDeath August 20, 1971 (at age 90) He participated with the group of Thirteen in a first exhibition on December 21, 1912 which was a great success, followed by a second exhibition on December 18, 1913, which was also the last of the group.In 1929, he exhibited at the Salon of French artists the Romanesque chapel, Chemin en Provence, Route avec cyprès and Avignon le mati n, remarkable watercolors.
