Along with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the FAA is one of the two main global agencies that is authorized to certify new aircraft, equipment and training for civil aviation pilots.
It was created in 1958 from organizations that had existed since 1926.
In terms of air traffic control, it establishes in particular the regulations that manage the coexistence between civil and military traffic.
It maintains data on airport safety, monitoring the safety of aircraft and operators, and air incidents and accidents that must be the subject of public reports published by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). It regularly publishes NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen) that inform pilots worldwide of flight conditions and events that could affect safety.

NEW YORK '' (marking on the heel of the blade), superb blade and on the other side: '' N.F. TRADE SPARTAN MARX K '' straight blade with one edge, triangular blade, a very beautiful piece in its own juice for any informed collector! Named piece marked '' J.S.T. '' on the handle. Magnificent saber dating from the post-war years around 1958-1960. Sublime and very rare piece, to seize !!! Recovered in the state.
