The German Democratic Republic (GDR); in German: Deutsche Demokratische Republik or DDR, sometimes translated as Democratic Republic of Germany or East Germany), is a former European communist state created on October 7, 1949 by the Socialist Unity Party of Germany, an ally of the USSR. The territory of the GDR corresponds to the zone occupied by the Red Army.

GDR DAGGER:



Superb dagger in superb condition. Handle engraved with acorn-shaped reliefs and in orange bakelite. Closing system with perfectly functional button. Superb shiny blade, numbered: '' 77170 '', with original brown leather tie. Steel scabbard with two rings, engraved with floral motifs and the GDR coat of arms. Original gray fabric bail with silver threads. The right attachment is missing (visible in photos 3-4-5). Very beautiful and rare piece, very pleasant to hold in the hand and even more to admire in a display case! A dagger in simply remarkable condition, worthy of a museum! VERY RARE AND 100% ORIGINAL !!!





GDR STASI FRAME:



Superb gray box in the shape of an opening book, containing: AWARDEE'S BOOKLET + FRAME WITH GOLDEN SWORD.

Inscriptions on the box and booklet: FUR DEN SCHUTZ / DER ARBEITER UND BAUERN (in a laurel wreath with the coat of arms of the GDR in its center). The booklet is dated: BERLIN, den 14.10.59. with the signature of the general of the GDR army. Award number: NVA 02 773/1 Ag 117/II-1/80 - 2064. The recipient: Korthals, Hans-Jurgen. URKUNDE 25 JAHRE TREUE DIENSTE (25 years of loyal service). Accompanied by its superb frame with a gilded sword covered with a gilded laurel leaf with 5 inlaid precision stones. The glass of the frame has traces of use, without gravity! Very beautiful and rare piece, very pleasant to hold in the hand and even more to admire in the display case! A frame in simply remarkable condition, worthy of a museum! VERY RARE AND 100% ORIGINAL!!!





KEPI:



Superb kepi in gray and black fabric, black plastic visor. Interior marked: '' NVA 56 1856 I '' + enameled symbolism in its center. In very good condition and clean!
