Historical context:
Superb German sabre called '' à la Blucher ''. In force in the Prussian cavalry and infantry. Based on the 1811 model, which was used from the Napoleonic wars (notably at Waterloo) until the middle of the 20th century. This sabre was largely inspired by the English model called '' Modèle 1796 '', with the typical shape of the guard and the curved blade, which is said to have wreaked havoc in the French army.

Blade with central fuller, fully etched on both sides with traces of time, original red leather tie, shiny scabbard. Handle with original gilding, fully engraved on both sides, presence of two crossed cannons (artillery). Handle with shagreen or ray skin, filigree a little undone, but very present! Pure WW1 juice piece RARE !!! Very rare and 100% original!
