Very pretty jug in Luster earthenware known as Jersey.
Dating from the 19th century, these earthenwares were actually produced in Staffordshire in England.
Their name actually comes from their transit through the island of Jersey. It was from here that French sailors brought them back.
This pitcher is in very good condition.
The texture and color work is superb.
Mainly copper, the pitcher is tinted blue on its neck and handle.
This same color is present in a subtle touch throughout the rest of the room.
