Bauhaus Cantilever armchair, steel tube and curved wood. Published by Thonet between 1932 and 1935 under the N°B261. It is the work of a French designer: Emile Guillot (1892-1960) The organization of the forces and the overhang is unique and certainly an exclusivity. The chrome of the tubing is original and in good condition, only traces of friction appear at the points of contact with the ground (underneath). The seat is formed in a "saddle" for more comfort, and certainly elegance! The absence in the Thonet catalogs may correspond, at the date of its publication, to choices linked to the origin of the designer. This armchair was published in two versions, a standard one with a seat height of 47cm and this one called "relaxation" with a seat height of 43cm.
