This armchair was certainly not produced very much. It is only found in the catalog between 1905 and 1914. It is proven in the Thonet catalog of 1904, in the supplement published in September 1905, the model No. 493 with square section, chair and armchair. It is stamped under the seat belt. It is caned new manually, in 2.4mm, crossed by 2.6mm, this for obvious reasons of solidity but also aesthetics.
