These sabers were produced at the end of the 19th century. The blade was made in Germany most of the time. Forged most of the time by the famous manufacturer '' WAFFENFABRIK '' known mainly for its MAUSER C96.

Length without scabbard: 96 cm
Blade length: 81 cm
Handle length: 15 cm
Blade width: 2.5 cm
Description:
Magnificent and rare Swiss dragoon / cavalry saber model 1899. The handle is made of white steel, very solid as it should be on this type of model, with a single branch guard and the leather thumb rest still present. The handle is made of wood, covered with ray skin (RARE), no play, very solid. Chrome present on the guard and the scabbard.
The blade is in a beautiful state of conservation, still shiny, marked on the heel: '' DE LA CROIX SUISSE ''. The scabbard is made of metal, also in good condition, very solid, also stamped with the Swiss cross. This magnificent saber was found in an attic between the Belgian and French borders and it is 100% original and in good condition.
