SUITE OF 4 FRENCH ARMCHAIRS PARIS PERIOD LOUIS XV STAMPED FALCONET L1257Here is an extremely rare suite of 4 armchairs from the Louis XV period. They bear the Falconet stamp. They are made of beech wood, all in curve and in movement. They are molded and carved, each has a convertible back and a padded seat. We guarantee the authenticity and the Louis XV period. The strongly recessed armrest consoles cling finely to the side crosspieces and support the cuffs. You will find a crosspiece enriched with typical Louis XV flowers. The armchairs rest on 4 feet with an acanthus rise. Louis Falconet (died around 1775) - carpenter in seats. Master's degree on September 9, 1743. Son of Pierre, also a carpenter who practiced rue de Cléry, under the sign of Fidelity, between 1738 and 1750. Louis Falconet retains the same stamp as his father. The seats of the father and the son, being almost all of Louis XV style, it is not possible to distinguish their author. The seats are of good quality and in good condition for the time. They were restored and reupholstered in the early 2000s. Flaws are minimal for an 18th century item. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom.
