Superb towel rack or valet stand on oak wood, art deco style (probably 1930s). Rare model with a straight stature, with side bars and equipped with 8 hooks on the sides, all in solid oak. The whole is mounted on a thick base 3.5 cm thick. Very good quality of manufacture, its base is however slightly tiled. Some small areas of missing wood, including two screw holes on the upper upright, have been filled with wood paste (in photo). The whole has been completely sanded, treated with xylophene, protected with a hard base, then a 2-coat satin varnish, in order to offer it the best possible protection for a humid environment. Rare piece!
