Old small farm table (which probably served as a desk) in solid oak, Directoire period. Very beautiful period patina on which we have chosen not to intervene, with the exception of the top which has been waxed. Numerous traces of use related to its age and which add to its charm. Drawer with ring-shaped handle. The latter keeps the memory of its past with a palimpsest of ink stains. The legs are cut into a spindle and the top is formed of an assembly of boards, all in all quite rough (some are a little disjointed). The left rear leg suffered from a crack at the place of its assembly which was stabilized and filled with filler wax. The whole is solid and rustic. The object is simple and modest; this is what gives it its irresistible appeal.
