19TH SILVER SPOON DECORATION ANGEL LOVE SQUIRREL SCENE ANIMALS CLOSED C2651 This spoon is 19th. It is cut out, it must probably have a special use, maybe for sprinkling sugar. It is rich, very ornate, at the end of the handle a character in period costume time a fish in the hand. The whole handle is worked. The spoon has the openwork edges with squirrel and bird decorations, foliage. Inside the spoon a farm scene, with grazing cows, houses in the background, all topped by a love with its outstretched wings. It is an exceptional model. It weighs 71.8 grams. Two hallmarks on the back of the handle: - Initials G GH surmounted by a swan with outstretched wings. -Initial NVend not cleaned, as in the photos. Minor micro-scratches from use should be noted.
