SILVER BRONZE BY HERMAN HEUSERS ART DECO BUST YOUNG GIRL 1930 ONYX M803 This Art Deco bronze is spectacular, it represents a bust of a smiling young girl. The bronze is silver, typical of the 1930 period, it is very geometric. It rests on an onyx base with a plaque representing an antique subject. Herman Heusers (1872-1938) is a Belgian sculptor who mainly worked in the field of medals (Fisch & Cie) but also made many sculptures in terracotta or other materials in a typical Art Nouveau style. . A famous sculpture is that of the tomb of the Louvois family in the cemetery of Saint-Josse-Ten-Node. We report rubbing and scratches on all of the bronze, spots in places, visible in the photos, slight chips on the onyx.
