Set of 4 Kohn N° 248a cane chairs. Model produced from 1902 to 1914. It was re-produced by Thonet-Mundus in 1925 with a round seat. No. 248 is the bistro model with a 36X38cm seat, No. 248 a is the plush version with a 41X42 cm seat. A variation of the 248a model exists depending on the production factory, or the years: Some models have front legs whose diameter increases at the tangent locations and a hollow wave at the top of the backrest; other 248a have straight front legs and an almost straight top back - See photo of the two models together - Stamp and label under each seat.
