Description

Meat carving service cutlery dating from 1900. Composed of a lever fork (also called a leg of lamb trident), a carving knife and a leg of lamb handle.
This type of cutlery was used, thanks to the lever of the fork, to make the French style cut called “l’écuyer courbet” (on the fly).

Used for over 100 years in the castle of Sorel-Moussel in Eure et Loire (near Paris)
These superb serving cutlery deserve to find a second life and a new home where they will find their usefulness on beautiful tables.

These Parisian pieces with filled silver handles, with relief decoration in the Rocaille style (foliage scrolls) are truly sublime.
The whole is in good condition, even if the trace of time remains visible (micro scratches).
Scratches are to be noted on the tips of the fork and on the tip of the knife.
The photos detail these different points, but these antique pieces that have crossed the century retain a very beautiful appearance.
