The magazine, founded in 1957 by airline pilot Pierre Chanoine-Martiel, is published quarterly. The magazine has devoted several issues to the air aspect of the Battle of France (18 issues), to the Free French Air Force (9 issues), to the Normandie-Niemen squadron (6 issues) and to Saint-Exupéry (7 issues). The magazine was particularly marked by Jean Lasserre who was its editor-in-chief for a long time. François Rude succeeded him in this role.
