Christ Popular Art 19th century. Old wooden sculpture depicting Christ on a holly cross. Beautiful precision work with perfect details. 2 types of wood. Dimensions: 45 cm X 22 cm. Good condition. Christ is detached from the cross. He is held by a screw in the back, see photo. The points holding the hands and feet seem to be made of wood and no longer hold. The arms were sculpted after the body and then adapted to the shoulders (see photos). One side of the cross seems to have been glued back, traces of glue to be removed. Very beautiful Popular Art sculpture circa 1850.
