RECCLOISONNE CHANDELIER PERIOD NAPOLEON III SIX LIGHTS ALABASTER CUT XIXEME L1277 This recessed chandelier is exceptional in many ways, in fact there is a compartmentalized part on the top cupel, on the cupels which allow the entrenchment of the central alabaster ogive. There are pendants, also enamelled, cloisonné. Everything is of great finesse and reminds us of the Barbedienne house. The central alabaster ogive is original, it has a small strapping with floral decoration. Everything is very elegant. Please note this chandelier has small lack of enamel in places. We report friction, wear and dirt on the gilding, wear and small gaps on the partitioning of the cups and balls on the top. Note two missing pendants, one on the upper crown and one on the lower crown, the chains are to readjust and reattach for some. Note also surface rust on the three rods in the center, rubbing, scratches on the alabaster, three crossing cracks and graininess on the perimeter. Electricity needs to be reviewed for safety issues. However this chandelier remains in an acceptable general state. We will not deliver by post for this type of item that is too fragile, but we work with carriers, please contact us for a quote.
