Superb German saber of the type ''AN9''. The saber model of the AN IX of light cavalry is a French saber used by the troop of the light cavalry since 1800-1801. It comes from the new armament plan of the year IX which will try to reduce the number of regulation sabers for the troop to four models: heavy cavalry, light cavalry, dragoons, and infantry

Rare and very beautiful German or Austrian saber called type: '' Model AN IX '' out of the attic, in its original condition. Blade with central fuller with traces due to time. Marked with a single-headed eagle surmounted by a crown + knight + motto: '' FUR KONIG UND VATERLAN ''. Very complete black handle with filigree. Symbolism on the scabbard: '' eagle in a tower ''. Original dragonne in superb condition. Scabbard painted black! Pure military parade piece from the 1950s-1960s!
