Historical context:
Superb German sabre called '' à la Blucher ''. In force in the Prussian cavalry and infantry. Based on the 1811 model, which was used from the Napoleonic wars (notably at Waterloo) until the middle of the 20th century. This sabre was largely inspired by the English model called '' Modèle 1796 '', with the typical shape of the guard and the curved blade, which is said to have wreaked havoc in the French army.

Bronze or gilded brass handle, filigree. Sewn leather scabbard with its original bronze or brass fittings (to be verified), in its original condition! Very beautiful and rare piece, to seize!
