Historical context :
Superb German saber called ''Ã la Blucher''. In force in the Prussian cavalry and infantry. Based on the 1811 model, which was used from the Napoleonic Wars (notably at Waterloo) until the mid-20th century. This saber was largely inspired by the English model called ''Model 1796'', with the typical shape of the guard and the curved blade, which is said to have caused havoc in the French army.

Rare and very beautiful Prussian/German officer's saber with lion's head, called ''Ã la Blucher'', taken out of the attic, in original condition. Blade with central gutter, to be cleaned with traces due to time. Full black handle, missing piece of watermark. Original strap in superb condition. Scabbard painted black, slight opening in its center which does not prevent the saber from entering its sheath! Pure WW1 RARE piece! ! ! Very rare and 100% original!
