A little history :


During the events of September 1830, a cavalry unit was formed in Tournai called the "Native Corps" or "Tirailleurs du Petit-Château" composed of deserters from the Dutch army. On October 1 of the same year, it was renamed the “Compagnie franche de cavalerie”. It merged six days later with a second Frankish company to form the 1st Cavalry Regiment. This was renamed into the 1st regiment of horse hunters on October 23. Three squadrons with 4 others from the 1st Lancer Regiment formed the cavalry brigade of the Army of the Scheldt during the Ten Days Campaign.

Very rare Belgian hunter's uniform, as is. Dark blue fabric jacket. Gold buttons (missing 1 button at the bottom left). Black shoulder straps (the second missing). Superb pants with yellow stripe, typical of Belgian hunters! Very beautiful and rare complete uniform, to be restored, to be restored to its original state, year 1940-1950, after the war! Very rare set 100% original and original.
