BLACKEN WOOD A4515This portrait is from the end of the 18th century or the very beginning of the 19th century, it does not bear a signature and we have no information on the character depicted. It is a soldier wearing a suit, a medal. We see a shady sky, vegetation, probably hills behind the portrait. Everything is beautifully crafted, especially in the look, but also in the details of the costume. No doubt about the quality, nor about the fact that it is an artist's hand. This work has benefited from a restoration in the rules of the art, it is a restoration carried out with care which consisted mainly in cleaning. You will notice that there is no repainting or tearing. This work has its original chassis, its blackened wooden frame is also original. You will notice old wormholes on the frame, a treatment has been carried out to avoid these wormholes. For the most picky, here are the defects, we report slight friction, vertical and horizontal lines, cracks on the face, friction and scratches on the frame, spacing of the assemblies of the angles of the frame.
