Pierre gire (1901-1984), alias pierre d'avesn. When he started out at 14, he worked for René Lalique for 10 years. During this period, he designed Lalique's famous "serpent" vase as well as the "swirls" vase, two of "Lalique's" most expensive and most collected pieces. In 1926, he left René Lalique and created his own models. Its pieces were made by the Saint-Rémy crystal factory.
