PEN DRAWING BY F. COMBES 1892 TREE PROPERTY A4294 This drawing was made by F. Combes in pen. It is unfortunately pitted, stained. It represents a tree in the foreground and probably a property in the background. Charles Fernand Combes, born August 4, 1856 in Les Herbiers and died November 12, 1943 in Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg, was a French painter, landscaper and watercolourist. We report rubbing and freckles on the drawing and in the margin, more prominent freckles in the branches, black spots as well. Note pieces of paper between the protective glass and the drawing. However, the drawing remains in an acceptable state of conservation. The wooden frame has many frictions and the bottom needs to be reattached. We have carried out a basic cleaning.
