François VERRIMST was born in 1960 in Finistère. Coming from a long line of artists, he met Alain BASILE in Paris, and trained until 1986 in his workshop for the restoration of works of art, antiques, in different cabinetmaking techniques, specializing in restoration. sculptures and polychromes. He took advantage of a six-month stay in SWITZERLAND in 1987 to produce his first pastels and watercolors. In 1988, François VERRIMST created his painting studio in the historic heart of GUERANDE where he presented Pastels, Charcoals, Sanguines. He was awarded the First Prize at the National Salon of the Society of Pastellists of France in Paris in 1997. She represents the white ditches at La Chapelle des Marais.
