PAIR OF WOODEN TABATIERS CARVED IN THE SHAPE OF CLOGS XIXth POPULAR ART M519 Here are two works which reflect well the French popular art of the XIXth century. These are snuff boxes, sometimes also called snuff boxes. There it is probably more snuffboxes. They are made of two different types of wood, the foliage decoration is carved by hand, the patina is beautiful. We report a crack on one of the snuffboxes which is much larger, friction and wear of the patina on the whole, note a lack on one of the lids. Sold uncleaned.
