Of Anglo-Irish origin in cut glass or crystal, the decanters were made in the early 19th century,
circa 1820, during the English Regency period, the end of the Georgian period.
The decanters are nominally straight and are beautifully cut in vertical columns or flutes
with flat panels cut in slices at the shoulder, leading to the neck.
The necks have the three rings typical of this period. The rings are also faceted.
The decanters are fitted with their original stoppers. The latter is mushroom shaped and completely faceted.
These glasswares were hand made, in lead glass and are a soft grey colour.
The glass has some small bubbles related to its handcraft.
Slight ripples also appear in the transparency of the glass.
The pieces are superb.
The Pair is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips.
For a collection, or a very beautiful table, this duo is exceptional
Due to its era, its provenance, its condition and its format.
The two carafes have indeed a majestic dimension.
Sold in inseparable pairs.
