Pair of old vases - majolica amphorae from the beginning of the 20th century, signed Louis Gugue (Vierzon), number 320. Former fireplace trim. Pretty wine-red / plum color. Double handle. Beautiful curves reminiscent of the body of a woman in evening dress with openwork and pleats on the dress, an allure between art nouveau and art deco. They are both in very good condition, no cracks, no chips. The only manufacturing defect in the enamel on the base of one of the vases, visible in last photo.Invisible if you put it from behind.
