Pair of antique vases - majolica amphorae from the early 20th century, signed Louis Gueule (Vierzon), number 320. Old fireplace trim.
Pretty wine/plum color. Double handle.
Beautiful curves reminiscent of the body of a woman in an evening dress with the openwork and pleats of the dress, a look between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
They are both in very good condition, no cracks, no chips.
A single manufacturing defect in the enamel on the base of one of the vases, visible in the last photo. Invisible if you put it from behind.
Possibility of purchasing a vase individually on request.
