PAIR OF ART DECO CERAMIC VASES BY ROGER MEQUIGNON 1930 REVOIR ETAT M1248This pair of ceramic vases on a pedestal was made by Roger Méquinion. Roger Mequinion (1905-1985) was the first engraver at Lalique before the war. Then in 1939, he came to settle in the free zone, in Aubagne. He applied with great inventiveness the techniques of glass engraving to ceramics. Ceramic with sandblasted or acid-etched decoration. The ceramics of this artist are quite rare and very popular with collectors. These vases have several defects, we point out a badly executed restoration on the foot of one of the vases, a small lack of enamel on the base of the other, minimal cooking defects, a stain on the neck of a vases.
