Good general condition, note traces of humidity, see photo Louis Félix Joseph Germain (born March 21, 1897 in Aiguebelle and died June 21, 1952 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud) is a French painter best known for his mountain painting, member of the Society of Mountain Painters. He went to Paris to prepare for the drawing professorship and attended the École du Louvre. Chambéry, Louis Germain became friends with several mountain painters, Francis Cariffa, Joseph-Victor Communal, and Lucien Poignant with whom he would paint in the surrounding massifs. He is also renowned for his watercolors, views of ports and seascapes of the Mediterranean coast. He exhibited in Chambéry, Grenoble and Lyon and in Paris where he participated in the International Exhibition of Paris in 1937 Type:Watercolor Theme:Landscape
