A strange journey for this painter who in fact led, with equal passion, a dual career: that of painter and that of teacher. In 1939, he was employed by the toll office, like Douanier Rousseau. At the same time, he took drawing classes in Montparnasse, in the Atelier Lesbounit and prepared a professorship in Plastic Arts. In 1953, he was accepted as a Professor at the City of Paris. In 1970, he was appointed professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art in Paris. He is recognized for his work on the psychology of shapes and colors, on which he has been working since 1954, which later earned him the promotion to associate professor. During all this time, he never stopped painting, despite some interruptions inherent to his teaching activities and some commissions from the State (communities or personal) for frescoes and tapestries. He paints and exhibits in France and abroad. His painting? His mentors have been very diverse: from the surrealists to the classics, from Magritte to Titian, from Delvaux to Rubens. As he himself concludes: "In my life, I have had three passions: Painting, Women and Teaching". His works are scattered in private collections in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, London, Geneva, Milan, Venice, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, etc... Type:Oil Characteristics:On canvas
