Delivery service: Colissimo Good general condition, see photo Born in 1900 in Rome, Sebasti moved to Alexandria in 1908 where he was trained first in the studio of the Italian painter Alberto Piattoli, alongside Prince Farouk, future king of Egypt, then by the Greek artist Litsas. At the age of 18, he continued his art studies in Italy with the famous Felice Carena and exhibited his works in Rome in 1923 and 1931. Following the death of his father, he returned to Egypt in 1924, where he remained permanently until the end of his days in 1961. During these years of effervescence of art and culture in Egypt, Sebasti rubbed shoulders with the two founders of modern Egyptian painting, the Alexandrians Mahmoud Said (1897-1964) and Mohamed Nagui (1888-1956), and founded with the latter the Atelier d’Alexandrie, which would play a fundamental role in the development of the artistic scene and the promotion of the arts in Egypt.
