Painting on canvas by Nagao USUI: Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the port of the Marines of Cogolin
dimensions: 33 cm x 41 cm
offered without frame
to be replaced on a standard commercial chassis
themes: marine boats sailboats Mediterranean sea
Enthusiastic about Western painting, Nagao USUI discovered the southern light in the works of his masters and he quickly set up his easel in Provence, where he painted the landscapes dear to Paul CEZANNE on the motif. Further south, the Var coastline also inspires him: Saint-Tropez and its port, the Marines of Cogolin... This is how he gives us, in luminous, vibrant and sensitive canvases, all the poetry of a Provençal farmhouse, a country house buried in the vineyards or a marina with its sailboats. Nagao USUI also painted very beautiful landscapes of Burgundy, Paris and Ile-de-France.
Alongside his paintings on canvas, Nagao USUI has created works on paper of great diversity: paintings, drawings, gouaches, watercolors and pastels retrace the journey of this Franco-Japanese artist, from the beginnings with the models who pose at the workshop until the years of maturity, with the landscapes of Provence.
