Let's get back to this magnificent cup, a chalice in opalescent crystal of remarkable elegance, with a timeless charm and at the same time refined in its design and of beautiful quality. It probably dates from the 1950s to the 1970s, as evidenced by its sober and uniform style, moving away from the decorations of an earlier era, while remaining functional. Honestly, despite my extensive research and contacts, I cannot say where it comes from. Perhaps from Scandinavian, Czechoslovakian or Italian glassworks? In any case, its purity and subtle luminous effects, such as opalescence, are undeniable.

The characteristics of this cup are revealed by its slightly cold bluish nuances and its yellowish and warm touches, as well as by its milky but above all translucent appearance when exposed to light. Its white color, similar to snow, is pleasantly soft, reflecting a beautiful shine. The cup rests on a charming, flared pedestal, with a smaller diameter at the base that widens elegantly. It recalls the style of the Sèvres crystal works.
