Old stool or rather milking chair in carved wood. It is an object of regional folk art (in the Savoy mountains). It offered the advantage of stability thanks to its 3 compass feet as well as better comfort than a simple stool with the backrest. Totally rustic with the brutalist spirit of the 50s / 60s, it had to be solid, and it's solid! The structure is in solid wood, of a good thickness, the 2 parts (seat and backrest) firmly fixed by a huge screw. This stool / chair whose authenticity is not to be proven will have its place as a decorative object in a warm universe, a house in the countryside or a chalet for example. Using it as a small chair around a coffee table inside and out is also possible because, despite its raw appearance, the seat and backrest are quite comfortable. Seat height: 38 cm.
It has been handcrafted which makes it a unique piece with its irregularities and roughness.
It's authentic, it's natural and very decorative.
