Tasty work of popular art, apparently 19th century but very difficult to date, in oak and chestnut, large uprights, cleverly flared front legs, extremely welcoming! Corner bar assemblies.
The two rear uprights had a sapwood section whose gaps were filled with synthetic wood, a technique preferable to grafting to keep as much of the original wood as possible.
The front seat crossmember (broken) was rebuilt identically.
Waxed finish, great patina! We have decided not to mulch it again, to present it to you as a graphic sculpture, imbued with authenticity from the depths of the Massif Central. It could be mulched or left like this, diverting it from its initial function, for example as a valet , accommodate a collection of canesIt measures 92cm high, 52cm wide (at the armrests) and 51cm total depth.
Seat height: 39cm.
Weight: 6kg.
Ref 738.
