Steinlen painting studio. 1957-1958: G.Visat engraving studio in Paris. 1959-1961: Algeria, produced a series of drawings and gouaches on the Casba in Algiers. 1962: Studio in Bièvres. 1974: Studio in Palalda in Catalonia. 1962-1990: Personal exhibitions in the major cities of France. Participates in major exhibitions. Illustrates several bibliophile works. Many works acquired by collectors in France, Germany, the United States, Israel, Japan and Switzerland. "A great burst of light and passion, a language of quite uncommon strength". (Michel Roquebert) Having lived in the Catalan hinterland since the 1960s, Michel No discovered drawing at a very young age. At the age of 18, he entered printing and engraving workshops in Paris where he made some decisive encounters: Giacometti, Mas Ernst, César... From 1959 to 1961, he discovered North Africa and the magic of the colours of desert landscapes, then stayed in Catalonia where he rediscovered the Mediterranean light. Michel No's painting is full of sunshine and colours, it is a sort of echo of nature always in motion. A real sincerity emanates from his works. He describes his creative work as follows: "I like the notion of pleasure and joy in painting. I don't have a complicated mind, if I can transmit a little of this joy and this strength. » EXHIBITIONS: at the Galerie Roland Gérard, in Paris, and in the major cities of France between 1962 and 1969. at the Galerie du Théâtre in Geneva, at the Galerie Colette Dubois in Paris, and at the Galerie IM-Kaldy in Caracas from 1969 to 2004 Galerie d’art de la Place Beauvau in Paris from 1974 to 1995 at the exhibition “Ecole de Paris” in Ossaka, Japan in 1992 at the Galerie Arpé in Cannes and at the New York Fairs from 1993 to 1995: Exhibitions at the Gallery in Beverly Hills, in New Caledonia and in Ivory Coast from 1995 to 2008 Galerie Aarts’s Master in Saint Emilion in 2002 Galerie des Hospices in Canet en Roussillon in 2008 He has also won numerous major prizes throughout his artistic career.
