It is a mid-20th century work (1947). It represents beached boats, probably fishing boats. Signed lower left by DAUCHO 47.Fernand Dauchot Studied at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, then at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. He left for the front in 1917 and returned wounded. The painter mainly painted Brittany: he arrived in Pont-Aven in 1923 and frequented other artists at the Hôtel de la Poste. The works of the painter remained unknown to the general public for many years, but the paintings of Fernand Dauchot illustrate since 2010 the envelopes of the post offices of Concarneau, Névez and Pont-Aven6 and what should help to make this painter known.
