OIL ON PAPER BY FERNAND ALBERIC DAUCHO (1898-1982) 47 BOATS stranded I18 The frame is of course posterior, the watercolor on paper has remained in a good state of preservation. It is a mid-20th century work (1947). It represents stranded boats, probably fishing boats. Signed lower left by DAUCHO 47.Fernand Dauchot Studied at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, then at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. He went to the front in 1917 and came back wounded. The painter essentially painted Brittany: he arrived in Pont-Aven in 1923 and frequented the other artists at the Hôtel de la Poste. The painter's works remained unknown to the general public for many years, but since 2010 Fernand Dauchot's paintings have illustrated the envelopes of the post offices of Concarneau, Névez and Pont-Aven6 and what should contribute to making this painter known.
