We see a pond, a diving board, several characters in bathing clothes, vegetation. The colors are dynamic, the work is in good condition. Charles Alexandre René Picart Le Doux (1881-1959) is a French painter and printmaker. Powerful painter in his landscapes but also sensual in his nudes and deep in his portraits. In 1904, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne. From 1923, the painter's production was abundant. He exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries then at the Carpentier and Drouant-David galleries in Paris as well as in San Francisco, New York, Rio de Janeiro, London (Ohana gallery), Berlin and Munich. Represented in many museums (Paris, New York, Moscow, Tokyo). Charles Picart Le Doux illustrated a large number of books. The oil is served by a superb frame of the 40s, very molded, very ornate which is perfectly suited to this work. Sold as is, unrestored, to report a few small accidents on the frame.
