OIL ON PANEL BY Y HILLIGOT STILL LIFE BOUQUET OF FLOWERS XXTH FRAME CERUSE L2038 This oil on panel represents a bouquet of lilac flowers, it is a still life made with a nice brushstroke. It is to be located around 1930-1940. It was made by Y. Hilligot. Yves Hilligot was born in 1928, in Nantes. He readily calls himself a "modern impressionist", and if his admiration for Dali, Sisley, Van Gogh, Gauguin and a number of other impressionists is strong, his artistic personality does not allow itself to be influenced. His works, through his journey, reflect the character well, his colorful vision of the world in which shadow and light are omnipresent. He exhibits both in France and abroad, where his works are included in numerous collections. Brittany, Catalonia (so dear to Dali), are among his main subjects. The work has not been prepared or restored, it is still acceptable with minimal scratches and wear of time. Note traces and stains on the ceruse frame, especially on the bottom.
