In 1900, he entered the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Subsequently, he will travel a lot, especially in Europe. In 1909, he moved to France, to Paris, a city with which he fell in love. Léon Abramovich Zeytlin was only 15 years old when he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Passionate about the beauty of the City of Light, he enjoyed some success in the 1920s by painting daily Parisian life as well as the fashionable places of the capital. The seascapes are also part of a theme treated by the Russian painter even if they are far removed from the frivolity of his Parisian scenes.
