They married the following year and settled in their new residence named “Ker Loar” not far from Le Gout Gérard. They will live in Concarneau until the death of her husband in 1922, Emmi is then 38 years old. No doubt to drown her sorrow, she decides to set off on her own to discover the world: Morocco, Tunisia, Tahiti, Spain, South Africa, Mozambique… She will never stop traveling but will always come back to Brittany, her adopted land. She will paint genre scenes and portraits.
