Arthur Midy studied art at the Académie Julian in Paris. He discovered Le Faouët in 1905. During the interwar period, he extended his inspiration to Finistère and all of western Morbihan. He participated in the exhibitions of the Salon des artistes français from 1897 to 1928 and in 1914 he received a silver medal. The work is presented unprepared, unrestored, unframed, it remains acceptable. We report some rubbing and foxing, four point holes at each end probably traces of an earlier frame attachment.
